Blue Aventurine is a quartzite coloured by fine inclusions of dumortierite, a blue borosilicate mineral. It forms as aluminium and boron rich sediments are transformed under heat and pressure, with the dumortierite settling into layered patterns within the quartz, most notably sourced from Brazil and India. Genuinely natural blue aventurine is fairly rare, much of what's sold under the name is heat treated from green aventurine or grey quartz.
Blue Aventurine is good for:
Supporting clear communication
Deepening intuition
Encouraging patience
Boosting self esteem
Calming the mind
Pairs well with: Sodalite and Labradorite, for a calm, intuitive combination.
Every crystal is one of a kind. As a natural formation, your blue aventurine may include unique inclusions, colour variations, or markings. These aren't flaws. They're what make each piece truly one of a kind.
