Chalcedony is a microcrystalline form of quartz, made up of tiny, fibrous crystals too small to see without magnification. It forms when silica rich fluids seep into cavities and cracks within volcanic rock and slowly harden over long periods of time, giving it a smooth, waxy lustre. It's most often found in soft shades of white, grey, and blue, and it's the parent family of stones like agate, carnelian, and chrysoprase.
Chalcedony is good for:
Encouraging calm and emotional balance
Supporting gentle, clear communication
Easing stress and anxiety
Inviting a sense of peace
Softening an overactive mind
Pairs well with: Clear Quartz and Amethyst, for a calming, soothing combination.
Every crystal is one of a kind. As a natural formation, your chalcedony may include unique inclusions, colour variations, or markings. These aren't flaws. They're what make each piece truly one of a kind.
