Rainbow Moonstone
Rainbow Moonstone is technically a colourless variety of labradorite feldspar, closely related to true moonstone. It forms in igneous rock, and its signature effect, a soft rainbow flash of light moving across the surface, comes from light bouncing between microscopic layers within the crystal, an optical effect called adularescence.
