Ruby Zoisite (also known as Anyolite) is a metamorphic rock made up of green zoisite, black hornblende, and vivid red ruby crystals. It forms under intense heat and pressure, found almost exclusively in the Longido mining district of northern Tanzania, near Mount Kilimanjaro, where it was first discovered in 1954.
